I'm a huge fan of putting it all out in the open and not keeping feelings bottled up inside. Obviously, it's a shitty situation for both of you. I felt terrible that my sister felt the need to "hide her happiness" around me. We were both supposed to be happy, dammit! I think you two are in a much better place now that she knows how you feel.
