Not really. But I can say with complete certainty that people who describe labor as orgasmic are A) certifiable and B) on some kind of drug cocktail not typically offered by Western physicians.2dognitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05247158356810025811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4355082394752703079.post-63558479147511165762014-04-28T11:36:18.271-07:002014-04-28T11:36:18.271-07:00He is adorable! I hope you continue to update the blog, although I certainly know how difficult it is to blog with a newborn. Hope everything is going well!Non Sequitur Chicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07268138421234170972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4355082394752703079.post-22254349077764407932014-04-27T17:50:33.405-07:002014-04-27T17:50:33.405-07:00Wait, you mean it's going to HURT? Well, shit.

I've been actively tuning out that whole side of L&D, sort of like how I've been fantasizing about spending my "summer off" (or as some like to call it, maternity leave where you never get to sleep) lounging poolside. For someone as realistic as myself, I am extraordinarily in denial about the whole thing. But I thank you for this birth story. It was both realistic and reassuring, because while it wasn't 100% sunshine and roses, it still sounds bearable. I've been on "team epidural" ever since I've seen the night and day difference it made for my sister all three times. My only real birth plan requirements are no c-section under any circumstances. Which means I'll probably end up needing one. But I really hope not. I guess time will tell.

Also, your son is gorgeous. But it is hard to resist when an epidural is available. Labor was way harder than I imagined! Either way it's an amazing experience.2dognitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05247158356810025811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4355082394752703079.post-45677448335783995572014-04-27T09:15:25.506-07:002014-04-27T09:15:25.506-07:00Congratulations!! I have also been wondering how/where you've been so I'm glad you found the time to update us and share a few photos :)

I'm so glad you posted the birth story, I love to read them too. Like you, I am hoping for an un-medicated delivery and reading Ina May, but I could totally see myself begging for the epidural too. I am totally going to google that eggplant babies thing now...
